Antonio Capolupo
He graduated with highest honors at the "G. Verdi" Conservatory of Turin; after he completed his studies at the Santa Cecilia National Academy of Rome with M° Alessandro Carbonare.
Winner of the principal clarinet position at the Opera National de Belgique "La Monnaie" of Brussels in 2016, previously principal clarinet at the National Orchestra of Belgium and at the Malmo Symphony Orchestra in Sweden.
In his career he won several clarinet auditions; the most important: Bozen Haydn Symphony orchestra in 2014, Opera of Rome in 2016, suitable at the "Verbier Festival orchestra" in 2016.
He also collaborated with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam as second clarinet, Opera of Toulon in France as soloist and first clarinet, Suisse Romande Orchestra of Geneva, Bozen Haydn Symphony Orchestra and Teatro Regio of Turin.
He played under the direction of great conductors like Daniele Gatti, Gianandrea Noseda, Alain Altinoglu, Michel Plasson, Andrej Borejko, Mark Soustrot, Andrea Battistoni and Lorenzo Viotti.
He played in important concert halls, both in Italy and abroad, such as Carnegie Hall of New York, Wiener Saal Mozarteum of Salisburg, Bozar concert hall of Bruxelles, theatre La Monnaie of Bruxelles, Auditorium Giovanni Agnelli of Torino.
He won first prize at the International Clarinet Competition "Marco Fiorindo" in 2014, first prize at the International clarinet competition of Chieri in 2011 and second prize at the International clarinet competition "Saverio Mercadante" in 2013. It was awarded in 11 international competitions.
