Grégory Letombe
Concert performer and teacher, heir to the great French saxophone school, Grégory Letombe showcases the saxophone in all its facets: soloist, chamber music, orchestra, and teaching.
Having obtained a First Prize with Unanimous First Mention at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in the class of Claude Delangle, as well as numerous international and national competitions, he was appointed Professor of Artistic Education at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional and at the E.S.M.D. (École Supérieure Musique et Danse) in Lille, where he teaches students of various nationalities and aspirations (France, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, China, Taiwan, etc.).
His teaching activities have led him to work at the Conservatoire Royal de Musique de Mons (Belgium) as a lecturer. Eager to share his musical experience with a wide audience, he offers his teaching at numerous instrumental masterclasses in Sablé-sur-Sarthe, Brette-les-Pins, Bourges, Tournai (Belgium), Saint-Quentin, and the Mont-Blanc Music Workshop.
He is also regularly called upon to serve on the jury of international and national competitions, the CNSMDP, the Pôles Supérieurs, and the Fonction Publique.
His musical activities have led him to be invited as a soloist by the Orchestre de Bretagne, the Orchestre National de Lille, the Orchestre d’Harmonie de la Garde Républicaine, the Orchestre de La Musique de la Garde Républicaine, the Musique des Sapeurs Pompiers de Paris, the Orchestre de la Force Aérienne (Belgium), the Musique de l’Air et de l’Espace, the Musique des Forces Terrestres de Lille, and the Musique de l’Infanterie. He performs regularly in France and also in Taiwan, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland, and England.
Passionate about chamber music, he enriched his musical career by founding the Iberica duo (saxophone and piano).
He is also co-founder of the Hauts-de-France Saxophone Ensemble.
