Anyela Gómez
Colombian saxophonist Anyela Gómez, professionally known as Anyelisax, is a Henri
Selmer Paris artist, performing on the Selmer Paris Supreme — the brand's newest
and most advanced professional saxophone — since September 2026. Based in
Miami, Florida, she is a saxophonist, session musician, multi-instrumentalist, and
content creator with over 18 years of experience, building an international career
across concerts, festivals, luxury events, and recording sessions.
Anyela Gómez began her musical journey at the age of 11 at Batuta Meta Colombia,
standing out early for her discipline and artistic sensitivity. At 16, she joined the
preparatory program of the Faculty of Arts ASAB at Universidad Distrital in Bogotá,
establishing a solid foundation in saxophone performance. She is currently pursuing
a master's degree in Jazz and Modern Music at Universidad de La Rioja (UNIR),
further expanding her international artistic and academic profile. Throughout her
development, she has refined her technique through masterclasses with world-
renowned saxophonists including Philippe Portejoie, Claude Delangle, and Nobuya
Sugawa, and has trained within the smooth jazz tradition alongside Eric Marienthal
and Eric Darius.
She has performed and trained at some of Latin America's most prestigious music
platforms — from FEMUSC, recognized as Brazil's largest classical music festival,
and the Festival Internacional Sesc de Música in Pelotas, Brazil, to the region's
leading saxophone-dedicated gatherings: PERUSAX, Peru's International Saxophone
Festival and Competition; MedeSax, the International Saxophone Festival of
Medellín, Colombia; the Festival Internacional de Saxofón hosted by the Instituto
Departamental de Bellas Artes in Cali, Colombia; and the Encuentro Universitario
Internacional de Saxofón at UNAM, Mexico's national university and one of Latin
America's longest-running academic saxophone gatherings.
Anyela Gómez was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2024 with the group Claraluna
in the Best Children's Music Album category, for her saxophone solo on "Ven a
Cantar" alongside acclaimed Colombian singer Felipe Peláez. She is an Honored
Lifetime Member of the Consell Internacional de la Música / United Nations Arts &
Sciences, and an active voting member of the Latin Recording Academy (Latin
Grammys).
Known for her expressive sound, stage presence, and versatility, she has shared the
stage and studio with an extensive roster of internationally celebrated artists,
including Marc Anthony, Juan Luis Guerra, Camila Cabello, Rubén Blades, Gloria
Estefan, Alejandro Sanz, David Bisbal, Gente de Zona, Arturo Sandoval, Luis Fonsi,
Nacho, Kanny García, José Luis "El Puma" Rodríguez, Olga Tañón, Proyecto Uno,
Eddy Herrera, and Elena Rose. In 2024, she was part of the Latin Grammy Person of
the Year House Band honoring Carlos Vives, performing as tenor saxophonist
alongside this elite, hand-selected ensemble. In 2025, she performed at the Billboard
Latin Music Awards and Billboard Mujeres Latinas en la Música, joining La India and
Olga Tañón for a tribute to Gloria Estefan — further cementing her status as a world-
class performer in the global music industry.
Her international career spans performances in over 15 countries, at prestigious
venues such as the Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center, in front of the iconic Burj
Khalifa, a New Year's Eve 2023 performance in Dubai, and a private event in Paris.
She was invited to the prestigious NAMM Show in 2023 and 2024 as a solo
saxophonist, and has appeared on Telemundo (Hoy Día, Desiguales, Billboard
Mujeres Latinas en la Música) and Univision (Despierta América, Siéntese Quien
Pueda).
In the luxury and corporate sector, Anyela Gómez has performed for high-profile
brands such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Brunello Cucinelli, and is a regular
performer for private, high-net-worth audiences in the Hamptons and Hunters Point.
She has also performed for two consecutive years at Formula 1 — in 2024 on the Red
Bull VIP stage, and in 2025 at the exclusive Paddock Club — establishing her as a
sought-after luxury performance artist. She has also been featured at Miami Swim
Week, performing in 2022 and returning in 2026 as a model in the event's closing
gala show. In June 2026, she was selected to perform twice in the official artist lineup
of the FIFA Fan Fest Miami during the FIFA World Cup.
Also in 2026, she continues to expand her international presence, performing with
Elena Rose at high-profile events such as the Montreux Jazz Festival Miami and the
BMI Awards in Miami, and joining the Queens in Curaçao for the Festival de Tumba,
Festival Jake, and the island's Carnival.
Anyela Gómez is currently recording her first album, blending pop, funk, and smooth
jazz, with release planned for 2027. Her debut single, "Midtown Summer," is out now
on all digital platforms, and her second single, "En Cada Latido," is set to release in
October 2026. Her style fuses the rhythmic energy of Latin music with jazz
expression and classical precision, creating a sophisticated and authentic sound
identity — carried, on every stage, by her Selmer Paris Supreme.
