Robin Nicaise is a French saxophonist  and composer born in Paris on the 7th of November 1978. He grew up in the South of France and started music with the alto saxophone at the age of 8, taking classical lessons. He changed to the tenor saxophone at the age of 13, discovering jazz and its masters like Stan Getz, John Coltrane and Charlie Parker. Already very passionate, he trained seriously with many teachers: Among those Edouard Chappe, Julien Armani, the Berségol brothers, Alain Soler, Eric Barret ... He passed with the honor of the jury, a gold medal at the Conservatoire de Manosque (jazz section) in 2000.

He became a professional at the age of 19, making his first album inviting the american saxophonist Larry Schneider to play on it.

Since 2007, Robin lives and works in Paris. His musical collaborations are numerous: Member of the Paris Jazz Underground collective from 2010 to 2011, he started an international carreer by participating in tours and multiplying projects with musicians like Fred Pasqua, Yoni Zelnik, Sandro Zerafa, Antoine Paganotti, Léonardo Montana, Laurent Coq, Nelson Veras, Yoann Loustalot, Simon Martineau...

He writes and arranges tunes for small bands but also for Big Bands of music schools and even independent artists. Since 2010, he has been a teacher at the CFPM in Paris.
