Jorge Morales

Jorge Morales is a graduate of the National Conservatory of Music of Lima (Peru) (2000) and the National University of Music (2022). In addition, he took master classes with Valdemar Rodríguez (Venezuela), Luis Rossi (Argentine), Sabine Meyer (Germany), Walter Seyfarth (Germany), Valery Verzuchenko (Russia) and Sergio Pires (Portugal). In 2004 he participated in the International Music Festival in Oviedo (Spain). In 2003 - 2004 he continued his studies at the Royal Conservatory of Gent (Belgium) with master Eddy Vanoosthuyse.
He has been a member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Baden-Württemberg (Germany), Lima Philharmonic Orchestra and in the opera seasons of the Pro-Lírica Symphonic Orchestra, soloist of Lima Philharmonic Orchestra in the seasons of the Philharmonic Society. In addition, in 2002 he was selected to represent Peru with the Symphony Orchestra of the Andean Countries (CAF), with which he toured Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Bolivia. In 2003 he joined the International Choir of Clarinets of Belgium, directed by the master Eddy Vanoosthuyse, making tours in different countries of Europe. He is currently the principal clarinet of the Piura Municipal Symphony Orchestra, a position he has held since 2002.
He has also participated as a soloist with the Trujillo Symphony Orchestra, Lima Youth Symphony Orchestra, Piura Symphony Orchestra and Callao Municipal Symphony Orchestra, in addition to performing constantly in different chamber music recitals.
As a teacher, in 2004 he participated in the First Meeting of Young Musicians Northen Zone (Cajamarca, Bagua, Chiclayo and Piura). He has also taught at the Escuela Superior de Música Ernesto López Mindreau (Chiclayo, Perú) and Carlos Valderrama Regional Conservatory (Trujillo, Perú). In 2011 he was invited as a teacher for master classes at the Northern Music Festival in the city of Eten-Chiclayo, Perú.
In 2012 he was invited to the 2nd International Clarinet Festival held at the National Conservatory of Music in Lima, at the 1st and 2nd Music Camp in Lima in 2017 and 2018. In 2019 he was a speaker and interviewed by the National Association of Clarinetists of Peru. In 2019 and 2022 he was a speaker at Escuela Superior de Formación Artística Pública in Bagua, Perú. In 2020 he participated as a speaker at the International Virtual Clarinet Week Fest. In 2023 he was a clarinet speaker at the meeting of young musicians at the Bracamoros Emblematic College (Jaén, Perú). In 2024 I held master classes for the 73rd anniversary of the Escuela Superior de Música Pública José María Valle Riestra.
Since 2023 he is a clarinet professor at Escuela Superior de Música Pública José María Valle Riestra.
