Geoffrey Doucet

Originally from the Landes, Geoffrey Doucet stands out as a versatile saxophonist, combining roles as a performer, creator, and educator. Trained at the highest level at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, he has developed a rich musical universe blending the classical repertoire, contemporary creation, and explorations into jazz and modern music.

Originally from the Landes, Geoffrey Doucet is a saxophonist with a rich and distinctive artistic personality. Winner of the National Saxophone Competition of Lempdes, he pursued a path of excellence that led him to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he studied in the class of Claude Delangle, following earlier training with Philippe Braquart, Christophe Bois, and Éric Devallon.

A committed performer in the saxophone repertoire, he has developed a particularly notable activity within the Duo Belharra, where he explores both classical and contemporary works with sensitivity. His curiosity also leads him toward other musical styles, notably through jazz ensembles (Cubano Sax Quintet) and contemporary music projects (Ormaï), which further enrich his creativity and musical vision.

As a composer, arranger, and artistic director, Geoffrey collaborates with Ensemble Lysis, Quatuor Aéolia, and the Fanfare Les Traines Savates. A former certifier for Henri Selmer Paris, he has an in-depth knowledge of instrument making.

A professor of artistic education, he teaches saxophone and conducts orchestras at the CRR de Brest.
