Marc Boutillot in Transition with his group LANDS
After his latest project Lumière sur la nuit, clarinettist and composer Marc Boutillot is back with a third album in total contrast to his previous one. For the occasion, he forms a new group called LANDS. The clarinettist (bass and Bb clarinets) is accompanied by Dexter Goldberg on keyboards, Jean-Baptiste Perraudin on drums and Philippe Monge on contrabass, flute and vocals.
Entitled Transition, the album is inspired by the territories, echoes of our roots and origins. It presents itself as a passage, an evolution, or a heritage. Heritage of the great names of Jazz Fusion such as Weather Report, Herbie Hancock and Headhunters, Return to Forever, Yellowjackets, but also The Beatles or Björk... And also an energy reminding of the band The Police.
A driving energy generated by lively melodies: LANDS offers anchored grooves, bringing us closer to the ground, echoes of our origins... We wouldd even let ourselves be caught dancing. You can follow LANDS on Facebook and Youtube.
