Yasmin Ogilvie

Yasmin Ogilvie is a London based saxophonist, a founding member of Apex Horns, and a Selmer Performing artist who tours globally for a wide range of artists, bands and agencies. Her keen interest in collaboration has led her to play within a diverse range of genres from Pop and Dance to Avant-garde and Classical.

After graduating from Trinity College of Music, Yasmin has gone on to pursue a busy career performing and recording with artists including George Ezra, Brian McFadden, Hot8 Brass Band, Kings Daughters and Brian May (Queen), Joy Crookes, Right Said Fred, Oh Wonder, Kelli – Leigh, Judi Jackson, Louisa Johnson, BB Diamond, Ministry of Sound, HedKandi, High On Heels, New Purple Celebration and The She Street Band.

TV Performances include Michael Bublé, Harry Connick Jr, Billy Ocean, Fleur East, McFly and Melanie C. House Band for ITV’s ‘Tonight At The London Palladium’ and CBeebies ‘Thumbelina’.

Yasmin has been flown around the world to play to audiences including Quincy Jones, Shania Twain and Royalty at prestigious events and private parties for Warner, Dolce & Gabbana, Microsoft, Chivas, Jaguar, Chelsea FC, Nike, Barbarian FC and has been resident saxophonist for some of London’s most established and highly regarded members clubs. Some of her favourite venue/festival highlights include London O2 and Manchester Arenas, Royal Albert Hall, Glastonbury (Pyramid Stage), Montreux Jazz, Isle of Wight and Latitude Festivals. The BRIT, National Television and GQ Awards as well as recording sessions at Maida Vale for BBC Radio 1, Abbey Road and Pinewood Studios.

Yasmin’s background in classical music has enabled her to play with orchestras, chamber ensembles and as a soloist, ensuring that her passion for music and creativity stands out in every performance.
