Ryo Nakajima

Originally from Japan, Ryo Nakajima studied at the Junior and Senior High School of Kunitachi College of Music. He earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music from the Tokyo University of the Arts. He continued his studies in France at the CRR of Versailles and the CRR of Paris, before obtaining the Diplôme d' Artiste Interprète (DAI) from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP).

Since his student years. he has performed as a soloist with orchestras and has gained wide experience through concerts and recitals across Asia (including Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong) and Europe.

He has received top prizes in several major international competitions, including: First Prize at the Japan Wind and Percussion CompetitionFirst Prize at the Yokohama International Music Competition; First Prize at the "K" International Competition in TokyoFirst Prize at the Asian Saxophone Congress International Competition in Chiayi (Taiwan); First Prize at the Vitor Santos International Saxophone Competition in Palmela (Portugal)

A versatile artist, he also performs as a singer and pianist, embracing a rich and expressive musical voice across genres.
