Nicolas Gardel

Nicolas Gardel began playing the trumpet at the age of seven and quickly joined Albert Calvayrac's class at the Toulouse Conservatory. He brilliantly obtained a First Prize in Trumpet.

A few years later, he was admitted to the jazz class at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris, where he had the opportunity to work with renowned musicians such as François Théberge, Riccardo Del Fra, Glenn Ferris, and Chris Potter.

In 2005, he joined the prestigious Big Band de l'Armée de l'Air (French Air Force Big Band), conducted by Stan Laferrière.

At the same time, he began a career as a renowned sideman, and each of his appearances alongside renowned artists such as Yuri Buenaventura, David Sanborn (three European tours), Laurent Mignard, Henri Texier, Nicholas Payton, Electro Deluxe, the Big Band 31 (accompanying David Linx, Richard Galliano, Kellylee Evans...), the Tuxedo Big Band, Captain Mercier, Phillipe Laudet, Rémi Panossian, Zebda, Manolin, Tirso Duarte, the Paris Chamber Orchestra, and as first trumpet in Michel Legrand's orchestra.

Enriched by these wonderful encounters, Nicolas Gardel is now developing his own projects, drawing on his experience and creativity. He performs on the biggest stages, including Chapiteau Jazz in Marciac (sharing the stage with Ibrahim Maalouf), Jazz à Vienne, La Défense Jazz Festival, and the Montreux Jazz Festival.
