Ferdi started playing the saxophone at the age of 6 in a small music school in the north of France. He soon found himself at the Conservatoire in Valenciennes, then in Douai, where he won his gold medal at the age of 16. After ten years of classical saxophone, he moved to Brussels to enter the Jazz Conservatory, which he left after 5 years to start producing and developing his music.
The meeting with the Belgian rapper Peet offered him the opportunity for a first collaboration in 2021, which very quickly led to two other great encounters: the king of funk Dabeull, then the ‘Piano King’ Sofiane Pamart. In 2022, he took part in Scylla's new album. Then in 2023, Sofiane Pamart gave him the most beautiful escape on his album NOCHE, the space of a solo track. The track is simply called FERDI, the title of the sax solo perfectly showcased between Sofiane Pamart's solo piano tracks.
He released his first project Val Duchesse in 2022, a 5-track EP, including the whirling 5H34 in a duet with his trumpet-playing friend Beesau. In 2023, he unveiled the project ROMANCE in a duet with Dabeull, an album combining the brilliance of the saxophone with the magic of funk.
A rising star on the Brussels-Paris scene, FERDI has released his first solo album, TAKE 01, on the Pias label. In this first opus, he invites you into his world, a musical universe that is rich, complex and accessible, at the crossroads of his multiple influences. The artist offers innovative instrumental music, very much his own, which evolves between indie pop and jazz. Through catchy, modern and masterful themes, the artist expresses himself in a new way through his saxophone with new, warm, sincere and uninhibited sounds.
