Clarinettist and pianist, originally from the North, Damien Sliwa first began his studies in Valenciennes before joining the classes of Claude Faucomprez in Lille and Guy Deplus in Paris.
After a stint at the CEFEDEM Ile de France, he joined the Music of the National Police in Vélizy.
At the same time, he was co-soloist clarinet in the Douai Orchestra for more than ten years.
He then turned mainly to pedagogy, first at the Caux-Vallée de Seine Conservatory, and since 2017 he has been a clarinet teacher at the Arthur Honegger Conservatory in Le Havre.
