Ademir Junior
Brazilian saxophonist, clarinetist, composer and conductor, dedicated to traditional Brazilian improvised music.
Ademir Junior is considered by the music community to be the most active and renowned improvising saxophonist in Brazil and South America. He recorded volume 124 of the Jamey Aebersold playback series. He leads the Big Band JK, is artistic director of the television program Planeta Music, and is clarinetist soloist with the Brasília Fire Brigade Wind Band. He also writes arrangements for several instrumental ensembles, and tours the world. A specialist in Brazilian music, he disseminates his knowledge through master classes, concerts and workshops in Brazil and abroad.
