Gino Samyn

Gino Samyn obtained his first prize in piano and saxophone at the Lille Conservatory in 1995. He continued his studies in Paris with Jean-Yves Fourmeau and Claude Delangle. There he obtained his State Diploma as a saxophone teacher and became eligible for the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Paris.

In 1998, he was the official pianist for the World Cup improvisation shows and was invited by Italian television (RAI DUE), the Just for Laughs festival, and Canadian television.

The musician is also passionate about jazz and has performed with prestigious artists such as Didier Loockwood, Phil Abraham, Claude Égea, Claude Bolling, etc. He accompanied Jane Manson from 2000 to 2005. From 2007 to 2015, he toured the world with Jil Aigrot: the Voice of Piaf in the film La Môme. He will be its artistic director, conducting the Budapest Symphony Orchestra and performing at the Olympia in Paris. He then became the conductor of the great Finnish artist Aneli Sari.

Gino Samyn is also a composer and has written more than ten pedagogical collections published by the most important French publishing houses, notably Billaudot and Lemoine. He has also written numerous musicals for children in collaboration with elementary schools.

He is currently director of the Ronchin music school (Northern France).
