David Náñez

David Náñez

Originally from Madrid, David Náñez studied saxophone at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid with Manuel Miján. He then obtained a Master's degree in teacher training, specialising in music, from the International University of Valencia, a Master's degree in research into new technologies in contemporary music, specialising in performance (saxophone), from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, and a Master's degree in management and entrepreneurship in cultural projects from the International University of La Rioja.

He has taken advanced courses with Arno Bornkamp, Claude Delangle, Eugène Rousseau, Jean-Marie Londeix, Vincent David, Mariano García, David Alonso, David Pons, and Antonio Felipe.

He has collaborated on numerous concerts with the Orchestra and Choir of the Community of Madrid (ORCAM), the Youth Orchestra and Choir of the Community of Madrid (JORCAM), the Santa Cecilia Classical Orchestra, the Madrid Metropolitan Orchestra, the Spanish Symphony Orchestra (OFE) and the SaxEnsemble group, in the country's main theatres and auditoriums.

He is a saxophonist and founder of the New Tocados brass band and the Sundara ensemble classical saxophone ensemble, with which he has performed throughout Spain, as well as in France, Portugal and Poland.

He has taught saxophone at the Ángel Barrios Professional Conservatory of Music in Granada, the Andrés Segovia Professional Conservatory of Music in Linares (Jaén), the Amaniel Professional Conservatory of Music in Madrid, the Joaquín Turina Professional Conservatory of Music in Madrid and the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music in Madrid, where he has taught bachelor's and master's degree courses. He also regularly gives master classes and advanced courses.

He is currently a saxophone teacher at the Teresa Berganza Professional Conservatory of Music in Madrid and a saxophone teacher at the La Lira de Pozuelo Music School in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid).
