A Latin Grammy Award winner in 2019, Daniel has built a solid international career as both a session musician and live performer, touring globally with renowned artists such as Fonseca, Manuel Medrano, and Rikarena, bringing his sound to major stages around the world. His performance history includes prestigious venues such as Madison Square Garden (New York), the Kaseya Center (Miami), the Auditorio Nacional and Palacio de los Deportes (Mexico City), as well as major festivals including the Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival Aruba and Festival Estéreo Picnic in Colombia, among many other international arenas and stages.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with acclaimed Latin and international artists such as Tony Succar, Andrés Cepeda, Andy Montañez, Álvaro López, Edy Martínez, Henry Fiol, Kinito Méndez, Pipe Peláez, Maía, Andrés Cabas, and César Mora, standing out for his musicality, versatility, and high-level performance both in the studio and on stage.
Born in Pasto, Colombia, Daniel is a multi-instrumentalist who also performs as a clarinetist and flutist. His artistic profile is complemented by extensive experience as a session musician, producer, arranger, composer, and educator, participating in numerous recording projects and music education processes.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Nariño, where he also developed part of his academic career. In the educational and symphonic field, he has worked as a band director, earning recognition in various national symphonic band competitions, demonstrating his musical leadership and conceptual strength.
