Stefano Di Battista

 At 13, Stefano Di Battista began playing saxophone in a small neighbourhood band. In 1992, he played at the Calvi festival where he met the pianist Jean-Pierre Como who invited him to play in Paris.

In 1994, Stefano performs regularly at the Sunset and Laurent Cugny, who is about to take over the ONJ, hires him as a soloist.

In 1997, he signs his first album as Leader Volare which earns him a Nomination for Music Victories and a Choc of the Year by the magazine Jazzman. In 1998, he signs a new album Prima Vista and in 2000, he signs a third album, eponymous with Elvin Jones, John Coltrane's drummer as a guest.

Since then, he has pursued an international career at the highest level.
