Quatuor Morphing
In May 2011, the six-month-old Morphing Quartet won the 1st Prize of the prestigious 7th Osaka International Chamber Music Competition. This international success allowed them to perform in Japan for 15 concerts in the fall of 2012 (Izumi Hall, Tsuda Hall, Beppu University...) as well as in many festivals in France and abroad: Concerts de Poche, Festival Pablo Casals, Musique d'un siècle, les Musicales de Wesserling, les Grandes Heures de St Emilion, l'Eure Poétique et Musicale, les Mélusicales, Val d'Aulnay...
Since December 2019, the Quartet performs with pianist Thomas Enhco, in France and then in the United States, a series of pieces custom composed by Patrick Zimmerli, collaborating with musicians such as Stéphane Kerecki, Fabrice Moreau, Eric Harland, Reuben Rogers...
The Morphing Quartet also won the 1st Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition of Illzach, and obtained its master's degree in chamber music at the CNSMDP in the class of David Walter, with a unanimous “Mention Très Bien” with the congratulations of the jury. Morphing is a laureate of the Banque Populaire and Cziffra foundations.
Frequently solicited in a pedagogical context, the Morphing Quartet participates as a jury member in the Brasilia Sax Fest and the Andorra Sax Fest. It has also given concerts and master classes in Russia in October 2019 during the Breath competition Russia 2019.
Their debut album entitled Ravel-Mendelssohn was released by the Klarthe Label. Morphing quartet recorded with Andy Emler on the album Hopen Air, which received a JAZZ choc. In 2017, they recorded for Ad Vitam Records the album Clarinet Fantasia with Philippe Berrod, solo clarinet at the Orchestre de Paris, an anthology of contemporary pieces composed by Alexis Ciesla.
In 2018, they embarked on the conception of a show mixing all the music in their repertoire, from string quartet transcriptions to French songs (Piaf, Aznavour, Brel…). Several performances have already taken place at the Théâtre Trévise (Paris 9e).
