Nuno Silva
Nuno Silva is an emerging saxophonist and pedagogue of Portuguese roots. Based in The Netherlands, he's specially aiming for new interdisciplinary creations, chamber music projects and event management.

During his studies Nuno Silva had the opportunity to work with Fernando Ramos, Juana Palop, Ties Mellema, Francisco Ferreira, Gilberto Bernardes, Marcus Weiss and Arno Bornkamp.

Since the beginning of his musical activity often collaborates with composers, dancers and actors in order to create new repertoire for the instrument and explore new paths of expression performing it all around Europe.

He's the co-founder of the [uan] duo, Vector Quintet and collaborated with many institutions and groups from a diverse variety of styles from Classical Contemporary music to Heavy Metal  such as Radio Philarmonish Orkest, Orquestra Sinfónica Casa da  Música, Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa, Ensemble Klang, Oniros Ensemble, 9x13 Neo-fanfare, Orkest de Ereprijs, Authark III, EELT, among others.

After 15 years  as a teacher employee, he started his own project at Nuno Silva-Saxophone Studio, where he teaches privately. He also gave masterclasses/workshops in Portugal, Spain, Netherlands and Colombia.

He's the artistic leader and director of the Tilburg Sax Summit, saxophone festival in Tilburg in The Netherlands, city where he's based.
