Born in 1978 in Paris in a family of musicians, Noémie Lapierre begun her musical studies at the age of 4. A few years after beginning the violin, she was finally more attracted to the warm sound of the clarinet, which she began playing at the age of 8.
Quickly she got First Prizes of clarinet, chamber music, analysis and musical theory at the Conservatoire National Régional of Rouen, and after a First Prize of the city of Paris, she entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Paris in 1998, where she studied with Michel Arrignon, Alain Damiens and Florent Héau. At the Paris Conservatoire (CNSM) she won First Prizes with honors in clarinet and chamber music.
At the early age of 21, she was engaged at the Opéra National de Lorraine. Since then, she is regularly invited by French orchestras to perform as principal, and Eb clarinet. Besides her regular orchestral activities, she performs often in many chamber music ensembles, from trio to octet, taking every opportunity to present and share classical music with young people.
Noémie is co-founder of the New Music ensemble Ultim’Asonata, dedicated to the music of our time in diverse formats, such as musical theatre, contemporary classics, commissions, recordings, improvisation and electro-acoustic music.
Passionate by chamber music, it is with bright enthusiasm that she has recently created the Hyades Ensemble, her latest project, which mixes perfectly the colors of clarinet and strings in trio and quartet with piano.
