Born into a family of musicians, Lilian Lefebvre began playing the clarinet in the North of France at the age of 6. His attraction to the musical life encouraged him to enter the Lille Conservatory in the class of Éric Perrier, then the CRR of Paris in the class of Florent Héau and finally the CNSM of Paris, where he perfected his skills with Pascal Moraguès, Jérôme Comte and Arnaud Leroy. Thanks to his teachers, he developed a unique musical personality and a rigor that earned him several awards in various national and international competitions such as the Thomas Kuti Competition, or the European Competition of Valenciennes, of which he was a laureate.
In May 2022, he won the First Prize as well as six special prizes at the prestigious Prague Spring Competition, where great masters such as Mstislav Rostropovitch, Philippe Cuper and Jean-Pierre Rampal have preceded him. These awards allow him to perform as a soloist on various important occasions and with great orchestras. He discovered the international scene, in the Czech Republic, with the PKZ Prague Philharmonia or the Pilsen Philharmonik, but also in Italy with the Chamber Orchestra of Caserta with which he performed the Mozart Concerto at the Royal Palace of Caserta. He also performed with the DFO Orchestra at the Auditorium of the CRR in Paris, and with the Orchestre de la Musique de l'Air de Paris at the Grand Théâtre d'Avignon…
Regularly invited by various festivals such as the International Festival of La Roque d'Anthéron, the Rencontres Musicales en Artois, the Festival des Musiques en Ubaye, the Prague Chamber Music Festival as well as the Prague Spring Festival, the Rencontres Musicales de Santander, the Un Été en France tour, Lilian shares the stage with great artists such as Gautier Capuçon, Adrien Bellom, Hans Jörg Shellenberg, Élise Bertrand, his brother Clément Lefebvre…
In 2021, he creates the Weber duo with pianist Vincent Martinet. In 2022, they join the Master of Chamber Music program at the Paris CNSM in the classes of Claire Désert and Michel Moraguès. They are admitted to share the stage with Gautier Capuçon during the tour Un Été en France in July 2021. In October of the same year, they were invited by the AJAM Festival to perform an 8-concert tour in Alsace, one of which was broadcast on Accent 4 radio, leading Michel Le Naour to write a page about Lilian in the magazine Classica. They also performed with cellist Jean-Baptiste Maizière, in a trio, at the Festival des Musiques au Palais, in Toulouse.
