Clarinettist, originally from Angoulême, Claire Voisin trained with artists of various personalities including Jérôme Voisin, Florent Héau, Florent Pujuila, or Daniel d'Adamo, Michel Moraguès, Philippe Pannier, Frédéric Stochl... These encounters allowed her to develop a taste for all stage practices, whether orchestral, chamber music or more experimental.
Always eager for artistic discoveries and more particularly interested in a contemporary repertoire, she is invited to participate, from 2010 to 2012, in the International Composer Pyramid Ensemble, a European project working for the creation of new pieces. She is also chosen in 2011 to be part of the Klangspuren International Ensemble Modern Academy, under the direction of Georges Benjamin and the members of the Ensemble Modern. In 2015-2016, she takes part in the Frictions laboratory at the Abbaye de Royaumont, dedicated to questioning the form of the concert, in the company of dancers and visual artists.
Passionate about live performance in all its forms, she participates in multidisciplinary projects such as Pentimento by Madonna Bouglione, Vingt poèmes d'amour et une chanson désespérée by the José Manuel Cano Lopez Company, Tchekhov's L'Ours by the Aorte Company, performed at the 2012 Avignon Festival, or Beckett's Comédie by the Si ceci se sait Company.
For her, the collective is a source of creation and richness. She worked with the Itinéraire ensemble for a concert tour in Colombia and then in France. As a chamber musician, she is involved in the clarinet duo Les Clarinautes and the trio Marie Nodier with soprano and piano, thus sweeping away a vast repertoire of learned, traditional and variety music.
Her orchestral practice leads her to play with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, the Orchestre Poitou-Charentes, the Orchestre Symphonique Région Centre-Tours, the Orchestre Symphonique et Lyrique de Paris...
She holds the Certificat d'Aptitude or Master of Pedagogy, issued by the CNSM of Paris and teaches at the CRR of Rueil-Malmaison and the CRR of Douai.
