SELMER Summer Clarinet Academy 2023

Organized every year, the SELMER Summer Clarinet Academy offers a friendly space for exchange and sharing, giving the participants a real motivation. On the program: master classes, private lessons, rehearsals with piano, recital evenings, instrument testing...
This year again, the teachers have been selected for their artistic skills, of course, but also and most importantly for their human qualities, their sense of listening and pedagogy. We thus guarantee students a wealth of exchanges and advice that allows them to progress in a friendly and stimulating atmosphere.
The 2023 faculty includes Guy Yehuda (Michigan State University, Lansing Symphony Orchestra), James Campbell (Soloist, retired professor at Indiana University), Kimberly Cole Luevano (University of North Texas), Maura Marinucci (Brussels Philharmonic), Robert Spring (Arizona State University), and Tasha Warren (Michigan State University, American Modern Ensemble) and Mingzhe Wang (Michigan State University).
In addition to the courses and master classes, participants will be able to take part of an acoustic/repair information session and adjustment provided by Henri SELMER Paris Head Woodwin Technician Sébastien Fontaine and Conn-Selmer Product Development Technician Karen Stephane.
And, of course, they will have the opportunity to take part in the Academy's competition, with three awards at the end:
- 1st prize: The brand new Henri SELMER Paris Présence Bb clarinet
- 2nd prize: $1,000
- 3rd prize: A Henri SELMER Paris Concept clarinet mouthpiece
