Szymon Nidzworski

Szymon Nidzworski graduated with honors from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and perfected his workshop with the world-famous saxophonist and teacher Jean Yves Fourmeau at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Cergy-Pontoise in France and at the Hochschule für Musik "Hans Eisler" in Berlin.

As a saxophonist, he cooperated with the Capitol Music Theater in Wrocław and Danuta Baduszkowa Music Theater in Gdynia. However, a special chapter in Nidzworski's career started when he worked at Arnold Szyfman Polish Theater in Warsaw, and thus, cooperated with some outstanding Polish actors such as Andrzej Seweryn.

Released in 2017 author's album called Szymon Nidzworski Project featurig Andrzej Seweryn, Behind Your Eyelids (distributed by Warner Music Poland) was inspired by theater and film music and became a hot spot of his activity as a film music composer. This album was noticed and appreciated not only by music critics, but also by numerous film directors.

Except for his own album, he has made many recording sessions of both classical, film, theater and entertainment music. Together with the Morpheus Saxophone Ensemble he recorded a song called Lenten Music composed by Paweł Łukaszewski. In 2015 the album Musica Sacra 5, which featured this song, won the Fryderyk Award in the category of Polish classical music.

Being a part of the Motion New Earth Band project, Nidzworski co-creates a collective consisting of: Motion Trio, Zbigniew Paleta and Tomas Celis Sanchez.

Nidzworski, as a composer, collaborated with the outstanding Polish documentary director Ewa Ewart, composing music for her production. The Curse of Abundance (2018) documentary which had its world premiere at BBC World opened the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change COP24. In 2019, the film won the 2nd prize at the Festival de Télévision de Monte-Carlo as well as the Intermedia-Globe Gold Award and the Global Awareness Special Award at the World Media Festivals in Hamburg.

Moreover, in 2019, he made the soundtrack for We the people, a film commemorating the first partially free parliamentary elections in Poland, created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of these elections. (dir. Ewa Ewart, TVN24 production), which also won the Gold prize at the World Media Festivals in Hamburg.

He also composed and featured the soundtrack for the documentary film called Touch, produced by TVP Kultura, depicting the life of the famous Polish actress Jadwiga Jankowska-Cieślak (dir. Katarzyna Michałkiewicz).

Currently cooperating with National Theatre in Warsaw – he composes a music for the latest performance.
