Principal clarinet of the Orchestra of the Republican Guard of Paris, Sylvie Hue has pursued parallel studies in music at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, and in literature at the University of Paris XII.
A student of Guy Deplus, she obtained a First Prize in the International Competition of Clarinet in Japan in 1988, laureate of the International Competition in Prague in 1991, she since has performed in recitals and with orchestras in France and abroad.
Equally active pedagogically, she teaches in Paris-Saclay Conservatoire (Orsay-south of Paris). As a guest-professor, she has been invited by the Ostrava University (Czech Republic), the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Glasgow), Academy in Avila (Spain), Senzoku Gakuen University (Tokyo-Japon) and the Normal University (Taipei-Taïwan).
