SELMER Paris Young Talents: a new stage for tomorrow’s saxophonists and clarinetists

SELMER Paris Young Talents : une nouvelle scène pour les saxophonistes et clarinettistes de demain

Henri SELMER Paris is launching SELMER Paris Young Talents, an international program designed to support a new generation of saxophonists and clarinetists.

Supporting young musicians in their artistic journey

Since 1885, Henri SELMER Paris has stood alongside musicians in conservatoires, orchestras, clubs, studios, ensembles and creative spaces.

This history has been shaped by artists from many different backgrounds, who have helped bring the saxophone and clarinet to life across every musical genre.

With SELMER Paris Young Talents, Henri SELMER Paris aims to extend this long-standing connection by offering dedicated support to young saxophonists and clarinetists who are already actively engaged in their musical development.

The aim is to identify, support and promote promising talents who are ready to express their own musical personality and share the richness of today’s music scenes.

An international cohort of young talents

Each year, a new cohort of artists will be selected internationally to join the program for a period of three years.

Applications will be reviewed with particular attention to musical quality, artistic individuality, motivation, stylistic diversity and the coherence of each applicant’s artistic project.

Classical music, jazz, contemporary music, new music, world music, collective projects and hybrid forms: SELMER Paris Young Talents aims to reflect the richness of today’s music scenes and to support artists who are helping to renew the language of the saxophone and clarinet.

A privileged relationship with Henri SELMER Paris

Selected artists will benefit from a privileged relationship with Henri SELMER Paris.

Depending on their profile, their artistic path and the terms of the program, this support may take different forms: dedicated visibility, promotion of their news and projects, content creation, invitations to events, exchanges with the Henri SELMER Paris teams, connections with ambassador artists, instrumental support, instrument loans, assistance with the acquisition of an instrument, or the provision of mouthpieces and reeds.

Each artist will also have a dedicated profile on Henri SELMER Paris platforms. Content may be created around their artistic world, including performances, interviews, behind-the-scenes features, collaborations, playlists or editorial formats.

A community of young talents

More than a partnership, SELMER Paris Young Talents is based on a relationship of trust between a company, its instruments and the musicians who bring them to life.

Selected artists will join a distinct international community, separate from the Henri SELMER Paris ambassador network, supported in a spirit of transmission, high standards and openness.

Who can apply?

The program is open to saxophonists and clarinetists under the age of 30 at the time of application, who already play a new-generation Henri SELMER Paris instrument or commit to playing Henri SELMER Paris if selected. For applicants under the age of majority, parental or legal guardian consent will be required.

To apply, applicants are invited to submit a recent performance video and a short motivation video.

Applications are open until July 31, 2026. Selected artists will be announced on September 1, 2026.
