ÁNGEL CANO RODRÍGUEZ

He holds a Higher Degree in music, specializing in clarinet, from the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid where he studied with the clarinet professor Justo Sanz Hermida.

In the field of chamber music, he has been involved in several projects and currently develops his chamber music activity with the quartet “Ébano Clarinets”, performing concerts in various chamber music rooms around Spain.

He has been a member of the Orquesta y Coro de Radio Televisión Española (after successfully passing a selective process to join a roster of musicians) in which he participated from 2018 to 2024 as a clarinet and E-flat clarinet player, taking part in recordings for Radio Televisión Española and Radio Nacional de España.

He has collaborated with several wind band and orchestral ensembles such as ORCAM, ORTVE, BSMM, and OCG, among others.

He is currently developing his orchestral work with the Filarmonía de Madrid Orchestra and Choir as a clarinet and E-flat clarinet player.

In the field of teaching, since 2015, he has been part of the faculty of the Yeles Music School (Toledo), where he teaches clarinet and E-flat clarinet.

Since 2014, he has been a member of the Military Music Corps and currently works as the principal E-flat clarinet player in the Unidad de Música de la Guardia Real, which is the most important wind band in Spain, and is responsible for accompanying the Spanish monarchs at all official events and ceremonies, such as honors, state visits, and concerts for official guests.
