ANDRZEJ WOJCIECHOWSKI graduated Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk (diploma with a highiest award).
He participated in various master classes with such great musicians as Andrew Marriner, Jean-Marc Fessard, Walter Vitek, Woytek Mrozek, Brenno Ambrosini, Joseph Fuster, Nicolas Baldeyrou, Florent Héau, Antonio Saiote, Alessandro Travaglini, Gabor Varga. During 2002-2003, he studied with Joan Enric Liuna under the auspices of Conservatori Superior De Musica in Castello (Spain).
He is the winner of prizes and distinctions on the main Polish and foreign competitions. As a soloist he toured in Germany, Italy, Monaco, South Africa, Czech Republic, Netherlands, England, Denmark, Spain, Sweden, France, Portugal, Belgium, Ukraine, USA, Canada, Russia, and many cities of Poland, performing under the baton of Łukasz Borowicz, Robert Kabara, Massimiliano Caldi, Wojciech Rajski, George Mais, Wieslaw Kwasny, Rodrigo Tomillo, Giulio Magnani, Janusz Przybylski, Vittorio Parisi
He is the principal clarinet player of Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdansk. He lectures at Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk.
The artist is extremely active on the ground of chamber music. Together with Sławomir Wilk (piano) he creates Inspiro Duo formation. He is also a member of the Mozart Bassethorn Ensemble, Gdańsk Reed Trio, and an uncommon ensemble Zagan Acoustic, which specializes in performing jazz, folk and world music.
His CD ‘A tribute to Benny Goodman’ recorded with maestro Lukasz Borowicz in 2015 is receiving great reviews in the main Polish classical and jazz magazines and radio. Next to the compositions written for Andrzej Wojciechowski the CD includes Aaron Copland’s master Cocerto for Clarinet, strings and harp (first polish recording).
