Joan Martí-Frasquier

I consider myself a dynamic musician.
I feel most involved in nowadays music and I am always open to new artistic experiences.

After graduating in Barcelona I continued my studies with Christophe Bois at the Conservatory of Bourges, Philippe Braquart at the Conservatory of Montpellier and Damien Royannais at the Conservatory of Limoges with the best marks. This experience has very much marked my professional career.

I premiered several pieces with my baritone saxophone (solo, with electronics, for woodwind trio, for saxophone quartet…) by Joan Bagés, José Luís Campana, Sergio Fidemraizer, Timothy Harenda, Joan Arnau Pàmies and Enric Riu among other composers.

I was a member of the “Association Bar&Co” which dealt with the baritone saxophone development in classical and contemporary music.

I recorded three albums with my saxophone quartet (SAX 3+1) and collaborated with some other artists. Furthermore, I recorded my first solo album BELIEVER in Spring 2015.

I have got some projects including outstanding pieces from the repertoire of the baritone saxophone: COLOURS (music and visual arts), 21th CENTURY MUSIC FOR BARITONE SAXOPHONE and MADE IN BCN.

My activity toke me to different festivals and outstanding events in Europe (Spain, France, Andorra, Portugal, Italy, Scotland, Switzerland, Austria and Estonia) and America (Brazil).
