Milko Pravdic

Born in Zagreb, Croatia, 1959.
Studied clarinet at Zagreb Music Academy, where from he holds B. A. and M. A. degrees, and in Paris, in the class of prof. G. Deplus.
He started his performing career early, appearing as a soloist with orchestra at the age of thirteen and later won various prizes at music competitions in his homeland and abroad.
Milko Pravdic now teaches clarinet at Zagreb Music Academy, since '08. in the status of full professor. He was solo-clarinettist of the Croatian Chamber Orchestra and frequently collaborates with other Croatian orchestras.
As soloist and leader or member of various chamber ensembles he visited many European countries. His speciality is small clarinet which he plays in some quite unusual chamber music groups, like in duo with guitar. Often he arranges music of baroque and other periods for these settings. His recordings can be heard on several cds.
He speaks English, French and German and holds a degree in mathematics from Zagreb University.
