PETRA STUMP studied clarinet at the mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and bass clarinet at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Winning various awards she pays attention not only to the classical repertoire, but also of contemporary and improvised music with a focus on the bass clarinet - numerous recordings KAIROS, Camerata Tokyo, Gramola, ein_klang records, edition Zeitton ORF and the Stockhausen Edition are available. Dedicatee of numerous premieres as she continues to work with composers such as Billone, Czernowin, Furrer, Gander, Stockhausen among others. For the Duo Stump- Linshalm thus far over 100 works were composed. In addition to her own chamber music projects Petra Stump is a member of the ensemble XX. century and was also guest musician at Klangforum, Neue Oper Wien, Ensemble Phace etc. The Duo Stump Linshalm published the clarinet school "CLARINET UPDATE" in Doblinger. Since 2012 Petra Stump is a professor of chamber music at the Joseph Haydn Institute of Chamber Music and Special Ensembles at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
