Esneider Valencia

As a vibrant saxophone performer, educator, and clinician, Esneider Valencia often appears as guest saxophonist with the New World Symphony Orchestra (USA), South Florida Orchestra (USA), Banda Sinfónica Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia), and Orquesta Filarmónica de Medellín (Colombia). His solo performances explore current music languages, especially the emergent repertory for the saxophone by Latin American composers. Born in Medellín-Colombia, Esneider obtained his Master of Music in Saxophone Performance at the University of Miami. His principal teachers have included Dale Underwood, Gary Keller, Philippe Portejoie and Philippe Ortega. Currently, Esneider is candidate for Doctor of Musical Arts in Saxophone Performance, and serves as a teaching assistant and Henry Mancini Fellow at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. His most recent project involves recording the saxophone music of the multifaceted Venezuelan composer and arranger, Aldemaro Romero.
