István Kohán

Born in 1990. Budapest, Hungary. He comes from a musician family. Started to learn clarinet under his father who is the clarinetist of Budapest Operett Theatre. He studied in Béla Bartók Music Conservatory under László Kraszna and in 2008 he admitted on first place into the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music into Zsolt Szatmári’s (The National Philharmonics’s Solo clarinetist) class.
Visited master course of Béla Kovács-Hungary, József Balogh-Hungary, Kálmán Berkes-Hungary, Josias Just-Switzerland. He performed as a member with BM Danube Symphonics, Budapest Operett Theatre’s Orchestra, Bartók Béla Symphonic Orchestra, Voce d’Amore Clarinet Orchestra. He works in Bárka Theatre as Clarinetist. Invited for probeplay to Budapest Festival Orhestra. He plays klezmer music as hobby.
