Ricardo Capellino

He was born in Sueca (Valencia) and soon he initiates his musical studies receiving classes of great number of teachers as F. Perez, A. Ripoll, E. Perez, J. De la Vega... and receiving courses of teachers' development as M. Miján, A. Gomis, Daniel Kientzy, Jean-Ives Formeau, Daniel Deffayet, Jean-Marie Londeix, Claude Delangle, Marie-Bernardette Charrier, Marcus Weiss and others.
Between his wide artistic career it´s necessary to emphasize diverse prizes being finalist in contests so much national and international (San Juan of Alicante, Albuixech, Benidorm ).. as well as to have obtained so much the teacher's degree, as that of top teacher, with the highest qualifications and " Honorific Mention " for unanimity in the C.S.M. "Joaquín Rodrigo" of Valencia. He has played in many places of the world as París, Lisboa, Milán, Santos, Amsterdam, Sao Paulo, Madrid, Alicante, Salamanca… and taken part in different cycles and International Festivals of Contemporary Music (ENSEMS, Molina de Segura, “Contemporáneamente”-Lodi-Milán, Mostra Internacional Sueca, Instituto Cervantes París, Festival de Sao Paulo, Festival “Smash”..) having released numerous current works of different composers of international prestige, some of these dedicated to himself. He possesses diverse recordings for RTVE, RNE and Canal 9 Radio and he has been invited to inform in chats, days and congresses of saxophone. Involved in diverse projects related to the interpretation of contemporary music, he collaborates with different international ensembles and he´s soloist of Saxophone of the Ensemble " ESPAI SONOR " (resident Group of the festival of the " Mostra Internacional of Contemporary Music " of which he´s an artistic coordinator) and "TDM_Trio De Magia", he arranges this facet interpretive together with the pedagogic and the investigative. He has recorded a CD titled "Alla Mente" with works for saxophone of Spanish composers Mauricio Sotelo, Voro Garcia, Jose Manuel Lopez and Jesús Torres and is currently preparing a new work on the new possibilities sound of the saxophone and two other CDs as a soloist and chamber today. In 1999 he accedes for examination to the teachers' department of Music and Scenic Arts of the Department of Education and Culture of Spain, and at present he´s a saxophone teacher of and Chamber music of the Professional Conservatoire of Music of Cartagena (Murcia). Ricardo Capellino play exclusively with SELMER Paris instruments.
